Data we process

  • Contact form and applications: name, e-mail address, message and any documents you choose to send us (CV, cover letter), in order to answer your request or process your application.
  • Audience measurement: with your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used (pages viewed, visit duration, traffic sources), in the form of statistics.
  • Google Maps: the map only loads after you have given your consent and may then set its own cookies.
  • Technical logs: IP address, browser, pages viewed, kept briefly by our hosting provider for security purposes and the proper operation of the website.

Purposes and legal bases

We process your data to answer your requests and to handle the applications you send us, to ensure the operation and security of the website (legitimate interest) and, on the basis of your consent, to measure the website’s audience and display third-party content. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page.

Cookies

Cookies required for the website to function (language choice, storage of your consent, security) are set without your consent. Audience measurement cookies and third-party content cookies are only set after you have accepted them. The detailed list of cookies is available in our cookie policy.

Recipients and transfers

Your data is processed by our hosting provider in Switzerland and by the service providers required for our services. Applications are handled confidentially and are only forwarded to our clients with your consent. Audience measurement and mapping features rely on Google (Google Analytics, Google Maps), which may involve transferring your data outside Switzerland, in particular to the United States. Such transfers are based on the recognition of an adequate level of protection for companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data.

Retention period

Contact form messages are kept for a maximum of twelve months. Application files are kept for the duration of the recruitment process and then, with your consent, for future opportunities. Audience statistics are kept according to the Google Analytics settings (fourteen months at most).

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, or object to its processing, by writing to jrmc@jrmc.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
